Our customer, one of the worlds larger Hedge funds, used three differing backup technologies. Managing these technologies was complex, costs were high, and backup windows were elongated - sometimes into days.

We replaced these technologies with  a single Unified backup technology/platform.

We designed, supplied and implemented the end to end system over a period of three months.

Critical Systems were Oracle Databases totalling 50TB, NDMP based File Servers and thousands of VM's.

In total, we supplied over 1 Petabyte of Storage to capture and replicate backups, with over 250Ghz of Server capacity to process the backups.

Backup windows have shrunk from 8-30 hours , down to a few hours.
